Get in the Trenches

This year, pray.

After praying, get in the trenches & do both the dirty & clean work.

Do it over & over again, do it so much, you become known for it.

Last year January, I committed myself to Preaching God’s Word via Youtube and other social platforms.

It was the most challenging task for me with several obstacles, but by the end of the year, I released over 50 God-inspired videos spanning across my Youtube channel & that of my ministry, Girls in the Woods.

I was reading Luke 5 yesterday & got to the point when Jesus gave the miracle of abundant fish to Peter & his fellow fishermen.

Here are a few things to learn:

  1. They had been fishing all night but caught nothing:

These guys were diligent, they didn’t give up when it didn’t work the first, second, or third time.

Fishing was the work of their hand, they had been faithful to it over a long time & this night is a reflection of how work-oriented & diligent they had been to their gift.

Lesson:

God will bless the work of your hand, that work you’ve been diligent at.

That work you’ve been showing up to.

I know it’s hard & stressful and the results aren’t matching up yet but is that what God is saying you should DO?

If yes.

Keep at it!

2. Peter lent Jesus his boat to sit & teach the crowds:

Despite the frustration of seemingly fruitless work, Peter still served Jesus and Jesus proved to be faithful.

Lesson:

Let nothing take you out of His Presence.

Serve Jesus.

Worship Him.

Spend quality time with Him.

He will reward you. — Hebrews 11:6

3. When Jesus gave the abundance, He didn’t do magic:

He said Do the work, “Let down your nets again, and let it down where the water is deep”

How much do you know the ropes of your work & what does your deep look like?

For me as a writer, it’s publishing my first hardcopy book soon and as a minister, it’s studying the Word in-depth & teaching it with all truth, sincerity, clarity & humility.

What is your own deep?

Sometimes Jesus would not give immediate abundance because He wants you to learn the ropes of your work, if not, Abundance is gon end in tears.

I just heard sweet Holy Spirit say, “I am with you as you work!”

Selah!
